Happy Thanksgiving!
A much needed update! I've been working on my Senior These project for the semester lately and am pretty busy. I titled it 'Hometown Pride' and its based on my hometown of Shelby as well as a couple other Class B towns that focus a lot of their support around the high school athletics in the town. Above is a collection of some photographs from Manhattan, MT. Enjoy!!

Brad & Kristi Aklestad Family
I was excited to photograph these guys at their farm during harvest! Growing up a farm girl and not far from the Sweet Grass Hills myself, I still feel most at home in the country though I havent lived there for years. They were great to work with and you can tell they've had their pictures done a time or two! We tried to make it a quick session so Brad could get back on the combine, but I'm really glad we took the time to do it!

Jessica & Bryant Kinyon Wedding
Miss Jessica has been a wonderful part of my life :) From when I moved to Shelby in 5th grade, to being 'BRFs' in Biology and Chemistry, to her asking me to photograph her wedding! I love this lady and I love that Bryant has treated her so well since our senior year. Their wedding was wonderful, and with the biggest wedding kiss I've ever seen, you know these two are in love! Here are just a few images of the way too many I took for you to see. My first wedding shoot ever! I'm so glad they trusted me...

Past Work
Here are some images of personal work as well as class work. The photographer is Debra Schnee of DL Photography in Shelby, MT. I have interned for her for 3 summers and have learned so, so much from her. My experience there has taught me how to handle real life situations with photography and it is indispensable.

Utensils Of Beauty
Here is a portion of my Advanced Color Photography class final. It started out as a visual list of the huge quantity of things women use and think they need in order to be considered beautiful. It then went to the point of showing the outlandish things we do, some more extreme and some less so. Overall I think the end result turned out better than planned and I love these images. My models were Ivy Huang, Amanda Robinson, and Marie Steiner; all girls I know from high school.

Lisa and Shane's Engagement Session!
I love my job! I've known Lisa and Shane since 5th grade, I've known them together since 7th grade. On their 8 and half year anniversary, Shane decided he could keep her around for a few more :) I remember the day Lisa told me her and Shane were dating, we were in 7th grade down in the girls' locker room at the good ole Shelby Middle School. Well the school is closed and gym darn near condemned but these two are still together! I'm so excited to be photographing their wedding next summer and its a real honor to be asked by them. Here are some images from their engagement session in Bozeman, we had a great time and I hope you can tell how in love they really are through these images.
